VISSLA ECO SHORTS
Vissla Eco Shorts: Sustainable Shorts for Every Day
Our eco shorts gather the most earth-friendly shorts in the range into one place: recycled, organic and upcycled fabrics built into hybrids and walk shorts that move easily from the sand to the street. They overlap our Walkshorts and sit alongside the Boardshorts when you want lower impact without losing performance.
Vissla Eco Shorts: Lower-Impact Shorts for Surf and Street
Eco shorts bring together the styles we build with the lowest impact in mind. Recycled Repreve polyester, organic cotton, hemp and upcycled coconut-husk fibre do the heavy lifting, finished with a PFC-free DWR water repellency, so you get the stretch, comfort and quick-dry feel you want without the usual environmental cost. They draw from across our Walkshorts and Boardshorts, pulled together by what they're made of rather than how they're cut.
What Makes Vissla Eco Shorts Different
Sustainability here isn't a label stuck on at the end. It runs from the fibre up, with recycled and plant-based materials chosen for performance as much as conscience, finished in fits that work as well in the water as they do at the bar. It's the same approach behind our Eco-Lastics and Eco Tees, and you can read the longer story in Sustainable Boardshorts.
What You'll Find in Eco Shorts
- Hybrid Shorts: Water-friendly fabrics that swim and dry as easily as they walk, ready for a dip without a second thought.
- Walk Shorts: Smart-casual cuts for land days, overlapping the Walkshorts range and sharing its beach-to-street logic.
- Elastic-Waist Styles: Pull-on comfort with no buttons to fight, shared with our Eco-Lastics.
Benefits of Vissla Eco Shorts
- Recycled & Organic Fibres: Repreve recycled polyester, organic cotton and upcycled coconut husk, chosen at the fibre.
- 4-Way Stretch: Comfort and freedom of movement that lasts all day, in or out of the water.
- PFC-Free DWR: Water repellency that beads off spray without the forever-chemicals.
- Beach-to-Street: One short for every part of the day, no second outfit needed.
Fabric & Sustainability
The eco label only means something if the materials earn it. Repreve spins post-consumer plastic bottles back into a durable, quick-drying yarn; organic cotton is grown with less chemical load; and upcycled coconut husk adds natural odour resistance and quick-dry to the blend. None of it is an afterthought, and none of it asks you to trade away the performance you'd expect from a proper surf short. Pair them with a tee for a full lower-impact fit.
