VISSLA YOUTH WETSUITS
Youth Wetsuits: Keep the Groms in the Water Longer
Cold water has never once dissuaded a child who wants to surf. Our youth wetsuits are built to keep them warm and out there: soft, stretchy and easy to get on, with seams tough enough for kids who treat gear like it owes them something. From lighter spring suits to winter full suits, it's the same warmth as the adult range, sized for groms.
Vissla Youth Wetsuits: Built for the Next Generation
Children are hard on wetsuits in ways adults can scarcely imagine, and our youth suits are built with no illusions on that front. Warm limestone-based Super Stretch S-Foam, a quick-drying Thermal Fever Fiber lining and a flush-barrier entry keep the cold out, while easy on-and-off means nobody misses the good ones arguing with a zip. Tough exactly where children destroy things, and drawn straight from the adult wetsuit range.
Same Tech, Grom-Sized
GBS triple-glued seams and a flush-barrier entry are the same details that keep the adult 7 Seas warm, scaled down for smaller surfers who are no less serious about staying out.
Materials & Build
Our youth suits are cut from the same warm, stretchy limestone-based S-Foam as the adult line, a lower-footprint alternative to oil-based neoprene that lets small surfers move without fighting the suit. The quick-drying Thermal Fever Fiber lining traps heat against the skin, GBS triple-glued and blind-stitched seams keep the flush out and hold up to repeat abuse, and the build is reinforced exactly where kids put suits through it. It's the same lower-impact thinking behind the rest of our range and our wider To Protect & Surf commitment.
The Vissla Wetsuit Range
- Spring Suits — for warmer summer water.
- Full Suits — full-length winter warmth.
- 7 Seas — the everyday all-rounder.
- Cold Water Necessities — booties, gloves and hoods.
Fit & Age Guidance
A youth wetsuit has to fit snug to work; gaps let cold water flush through and steal the warmth. Aim for a close fit with no loose folds at the lower back, knees or underarms, but enough give to crouch and paddle freely. Kids grow fast, so check the Size Guide against current height and weight rather than buying big to last; a suit that's too roomy won't keep them warm enough to stay out, and staying out longer is the whole point.
